CERO is the playground of Caroline Busson, French graphic designer living in The Netherlands.
Her work is mainly focussed on shapes and abstract visuals applied to textiles or paper. She plays with chance and randomness, concepts she was enthralled by very early in her creative life.
Unpredictability and lucky coincidence often form the centrepiece of her work. She creates happy marriages of shapes, making series of unique visuals within the same family.
Here you'll find products handmade at a very small scale. Each series of products is contained within a project.
The current series is a small edition of prints in black and white, playing with visual illusion and unpredictability. The tiny black shapes have been printed with a deep matte black ink on white paper, creating a sense of movement and depth when looking from a distance.
16 of the prints have been silkscreen printed by the father of one of my friends in a little village in France. The 12 others were printed in a tiny printshop in Amsterdam, specialized in piezography (also called giclée or fine art prints). This process gives a pure black finish that will blow your mind!
